An exciting 2008 for the CBBF
Dear CBBF fans, this year we are looking forward to an even more entertaining year for our provincial and national events.
We will have all the provincial events up soon, under out Events portion of the website and more information is coming forward every day in regards to our 2008 CBBF national events.
So keep viewing the Events portion of our website and continue to view the homepage for pertinent information.
This year we will begin an article, still to be titled, by the guru of bodybuilding in Canada and internationally, our very good friend Mr. Garry Bartlett.
Garry, as everyone knows is an accomplished photographer for the CBBF and for MUSCLEMAG International as well as numerous other magazines over the years.
Each month in MUSCLEMAG he has provided his expertise in photographs and writing skills to promote the CBBF and its provincial associations on the amateur level as well as IFBB Canadian professional athletes.
We are all looking forward to viewing Garry’s articles in the not too distant future.
This year our national events will be held throughout most of Canada, with the CBBF National World Qualifier being held in Central Canada in Winnipeg, MB on June 14th. Again this event will have random doping controls provided by the CCES and the IOC laboratories. Many of the winners will be provided the opportunity to compete in the four IFBB amateur World Championships. Please continue to view our website, www.cbbf.ca for information. If you have any questions on doping control please view the CCES’s website, www.cces.ca.
If you link into the IFBB website, www.ifbb.com, you may see on occasion articles about our Canadian amateur athletes as well as members of the Canadian IFBB family.
For the first time in a very long time an event will be held in Western Canada in British Columbia, the 2008 CBBF Canadian Figure and Fitness Championships. Promoted by our good friends Sandra Wickham and Ross Webb.
www.sandrawickham.com is the website to attain future information on the event, or you may link into it by viewing the Events portion of our website. This event will be held in New Westminster, BC on August, 9th.
Finally the 2008 CBBF Canadian Bodybuilding Championships are returning to the Eastern Canada and the province of Quebec and certainly one of Canada’s icons in our sport Mr. Joe Spinello. Joe has promised an event, which will continue to push the envelope for CBBF events. The event will be held in Montreal, Quebec on September 6th of this year.

Finally please view the INFO portion of our website for any changes in classes structures, as the IFBB has provided a few changes from last years events.
We attempt to follow the changes nationally, so athletes who compete internationally or professionally in the future are comfortable at all events and not surprised or even eliminated when they attend said events.
Thank you to each of our provincial associations for the hard work and dedication over the years and especially to their athletes, for without the athletes we would not be in the position we are today, as leaders in our sports nationally and internationally.
